Brass Factory Christmas Performance

At the end of 2020 the Brass Factory put together a performance of Christmas tunes for friends and family to listen to.

The original plan was that Malcolm would run a series of sessions each term leading to a performance at the end of each term. However, Covid19 had different ideas.  The band finally presented their Term Four performance and this was enjoyed by all.

Thank you Malcolm and Tracey for your continued efforts to build this beginners band up to what has become a great little starter band for new player. Thank you also to Quentin, Leighton, Sandra, George, Julie for supporting this band week in and week out - your encouragement to new players supports them to become better musicians.  We are fortunate Malcolm chooses fun music to play, but he does also give us all a bit of a challenge which is exactly what we need in order to improve as a band.

Brass Factory and Auxiliary Play out in the Park

The Brass Factory and Auxiliary Band had one final play out in the park opposite the band hall. This was a great opportunity to show our friends and family the progress each band has made. Before this took place the Auxiliary Band had an attempt at marching at the park... in prep for nationals 2020. (post to be updated). Thank you to Richard Lummus for supplying photographs from this day.

Brass Factory and Auxiliary Band playing together.

The Brass Factory 2019 has seen so much development it became time to have a play out with the Auxiliary Band. Thanks to Apri for these photos. Having both bands together create an awesome harmony and Te Reo said she couldn't tell who was from Brass Factory or who was from Auxiliary. It's great to see Brass Factory players making such progress - most of these players have been in Brass Factory for 1-2 years.
