At the end of 2020 the Brass Factory put together a performance of Christmas tunes for friends and family to listen to.
The original plan was that Malcolm would run a series of sessions each term leading to a performance at the end of each term. However, Covid19 had different ideas. The band finally presented their Term Four performance and this was enjoyed by all.
Thank you Malcolm and Tracey for your continued efforts to build this beginners band up to what has become a great little starter band for new player. Thank you also to Quentin, Leighton, Sandra, George, Julie for supporting this band week in and week out - your encouragement to new players supports them to become better musicians. We are fortunate Malcolm chooses fun music to play, but he does also give us all a bit of a challenge which is exactly what we need in order to improve as a band.

After an un precedented year interrupted by the worldwide pandemic of Covid19 we at Hamilton City Brass were fortunate to share an evening together celebrating the year that was.
We remembered cancelled events: regionals, nationals, play outs... we also celebrated all that band members did to keep our organisation moving forward. Thanks to band President Walter Genefaas and his team on the committee, the musical directors Mason Elliott (Senior Band), Te Reo Hughes (Auxiliary Band), Malcolm Barr and Tracey Seifert (Brass Factory) for keeping the show on the road, so to speak.
When we first entered the Koru Lounge we were met by hosts Caleb and Emma who got us to fill in our departure cards sharing with everyone locations we had been to around the world and where we want to travel to. Let's face it, as per many kiwis we are great travellers and have explored many places in our time.
