Play out at the Morrinsville Intermediate Family Fun Night

Hamilton Auxiliary Band were invited to play at the Morrinsville Intermediate Family Fun Night. A small contingent of the band played Brass Factory gig pack and Christmas tunes (due to the smaller number we made sure we had all parts covered.  This was the first time the Morrinsville Community got to hear the band play and by all accounts reports back were that people really enjoyed hearing the band play.  Besides playing the band entered a team of players to make up the Auxiliary 'family' team. They were put through their paces: Greg, Anessa, Leighton and Walter, it was great fun watching them trying to solve the various problems and riddles such as tying a tie on someone else, walking with two planks, egg and spoon obstacle course, solving mathematical/logical problems and etc. They weren't major prize winners, but they enjoyed participating and putting our band name out to the public. Well done team!! Anessa and Piki had their faces painted by the talented students from Morrinsville Intermediate.

Players included: Walter (cornet), Alex (trombone), Robbie (cornet), Quentin (cornet), Greg (cornet), Lynn (bass trombone), Leighton (Bass), Natalie (Percussion), Blake (cornet), Te Reo (tenor horn), Sharon (tenor horn)  and Anessa (trombone).

Anessa is one in a Minion - every time she raised her eyebrows the minion waved.
