Waikato Bay of Plenty D Grade Champions for 2018

It is really awesome that I can post that Hamilton City Brass Auxiliary Band are now the Waikato BOP champion D Grade band for 2018.

Auxiliary Band Played the following:

First Place: D Grade Band overall

First Place: Auxiliary Band with the most points

Second Place: Hymn (first place went to our friends at  Matamata Brass Band)

It is also nice for the band to note we got the 3rd highest score on the day behind Eastern Bay of Plenty and Hamilton City Brass Senior Band (both of these bands are A Grade bands)

During the Waikato Bay of Plenty Brass Band Competition soloists, ensembles and quartets from the Auxiliary and Brass Factory bands performed to a very high standard. These are some pictures from throughout the day.

Regional Development Day for Youth and New Players

Hamilton City hosted a regional development day for youth and new players to experience playing in a large band, supported by more experienced players.

La Fete de la Musique - Brass Factory

La Fete de la Musique invited Brass Factory to play outside shops in the centre of Hamilton.

The Brass Factory is conducted by Glenn Richards who is also the  Hamilton City Brass Senior Band which is currently in the A Grade. There are supporting players from the A Grade band as well as new youth and adult players.
